The products, services, and treatments offered by Pure IV are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. IV vitamin therapy, IV hydration therapy, intramuscular injections, and related wellness services offered by Pure IV are elective wellness services and are not FDA-approved treatments for any medical condition.

Any reference to specific vitamins, minerals, nutrients, amino acids, or other substances on this website is for informational purposes only and does not constitute a claim that these substances treat, cure, or prevent any disease or medical condition. Individual responses to IV therapy vary, and no specific outcome or result is guaranteed.

Nature of Services

Pure IV provides mobile intravenous (IV) hydration and vitamin therapy services. These are elective wellness services, not emergency medical services. Pure IV services are designed to supplement, not replace, the care provided by your primary care physician or other healthcare providers.

Pure IV is a physician-owned company operating under the medical direction of Allison Lane, MD. All clinical protocols have been developed and are maintained under Dr. Lane's oversight. All treatments are administered by licensed Registered Nurses (RNs) or licensed paramedics operating within their scope of practice and under appropriate medical supervision, which includes a real-time Nurse Practitioner (NP) assessment conducted via live televisit before every treatment.

Pure IV is not a hospital, urgent care facility, emergency room, or primary care provider. Pure IV does not diagnose medical conditions, prescribe medications outside the scope of its IV therapy services, or provide ongoing medical management. If you have a medical condition that requires diagnosis, ongoing treatment, or monitoring, consult your physician or appropriate healthcare provider.

Good Faith Examination and Informed Consent

Before any treatment is administered, every Pure IV patient undergoes a Good Faith Examination (GFE) conducted by a licensed Nurse Practitioner via a live, real-time televisit. This examination includes a review of your medical history, current medications, known allergies, and present health status. The Nurse Practitioner uses this information to determine whether IV therapy is safe and appropriate for you and to approve a patient-specific treatment plan.

Additionally, your bedside provider will obtain your vital signs, including blood pressure, heart rate, and oxygen saturation, before treatment begins. Your provider will review the treatment plan with you, explain the contents of your IV, describe the potential risks and side effects, and answer any questions you may have before obtaining your informed consent.

You have the right to refuse or withdraw consent for any treatment at any time, including after the treatment has begun. If you choose to discontinue treatment, inform your provider immediately and they will safely remove the IV.

For patients under 18 years of age, informed consent must be obtained from a parent or legal guardian.

Risks and Side Effects of IV Therapy

IV therapy is generally considered safe when administered by licensed medical professionals under appropriate medical supervision. However, as with any medical procedure that involves insertion of a needle into a vein and introduction of substances into the bloodstream, there are inherent risks and potential side effects.

Common risks and side effects may include but are not limited to: discomfort, pain, or bruising at the IV insertion site; minor bleeding at the insertion site; inflammation or irritation of the vein (phlebitis); allergic reaction to one or more components of the IV solution, which may include rash, itching, swelling, or in rare cases anaphylaxis; infection at the IV insertion site; a sensation of coolness, warmth, or pressure during the infusion; lightheadedness, dizziness, or fainting; nausea or a metallic taste during the infusion; a temporary change in blood pressure or heart rate; fluid overload, particularly in patients with heart or kidney conditions; and infiltration, which occurs when IV fluid leaks into surrounding tissue rather than entering the vein.

Serious complications from IV therapy are rare but can occur. These may include severe allergic reaction (anaphylaxis), air embolism, nerve damage, or systemic infection. In extremely rare cases, complications from any medical procedure can result in serious injury or death.

Pure IV takes every reasonable precaution to minimize risk, including conducting a live NP assessment before every treatment, obtaining vital signs, using sterile technique, monitoring patients throughout the infusion, and using only licensed medical professionals to administer all treatments. However, no medical procedure is entirely without risk, and Pure IV cannot guarantee the absence of any adverse event.

If you experience any adverse symptoms during or after your treatment, contact Pure IV immediately or seek medical attention. If you believe you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 911.

Individual Results May Vary

The results of IV therapy vary from person to person and depend on a wide range of individual factors, including but not limited to your overall health, hydration status, nutritional deficiencies, medical history, current medications, and the specific IV treatment received. Pure IV does not guarantee any specific outcome, result, or benefit from any treatment.

Testimonials, reviews, and descriptions of treatment benefits on this website or on third-party review platforms represent individual experiences and do not constitute a guarantee that you will experience the same or similar results. Your experience may differ.

Any health-related claims or descriptions of potential benefits on this website are based on generally accepted nutritional science and the clinical experience of our medical team. They are not intended as promises or guarantees of therapeutic outcomes.

Contraindications and Patient Responsibility

Certain medical conditions may make IV therapy unsafe or require modifications to treatment. It is your responsibility to provide complete and accurate information on your health intake form and during your live NP assessment. This includes disclosing all medical conditions (past and present), all medications (including prescriptions, over-the-counter drugs, and supplements), all known allergies, your pregnancy or breastfeeding status, and any recent changes in your health.

Failure to disclose accurate and complete medical information may result in a treatment that is not appropriate for your health status and may increase the risk of an adverse event. Pure IV relies on the information you provide to make clinical decisions about your care. You assume responsibility for the accuracy and completeness of the health information you submit.

Pure IV reserves the right to modify, delay, or decline any treatment if our medical team determines, based on the information available, that the treatment may not be safe or appropriate for you. In such cases, you will not be charged for any treatment that is not administered.

IV therapy may be contraindicated or require special consideration for patients with congestive heart failure, kidney disease or renal insufficiency, uncontrolled hypertension, blood clotting disorders or patients on anticoagulant therapy, G6PD deficiency, severe allergies to IV components, active infections, certain pregnancies, and patients on certain medications that may interact with IV nutrients. This is not an exhaustive list. Your NP will evaluate your individual health profile during your live assessment.

No Patient-Provider Relationship from Website Use

Browsing this website, reading its content, or communicating with Pure IV through the website, social media, email, phone, or text message does not establish a patient-provider relationship. A patient-provider relationship is established only when you have completed the health intake process, undergone a Good Faith Examination with our Nurse Practitioner, and received a treatment from a licensed Pure IV provider.

Assumption of Risk

By requesting, scheduling, and receiving IV therapy services from Pure IV, you acknowledge that you have been informed of the nature of IV therapy, the potential risks and side effects, and the limitations of the services offered. You voluntarily assume all risks associated with the services, including but not limited to the risks described in this disclaimer and those discussed during your informed consent process.

You acknowledge that IV therapy is an elective wellness service, that no specific outcome is guaranteed, and that individual results vary. You agree that Pure IV has provided you with the opportunity to ask questions about your treatment and that any questions you had were answered to your satisfaction before treatment began.

Medical Direction and Oversight

Pure IV operates under the medical direction of Allison Lane, MD. Dr. Lane oversees all clinical protocols, treatment formulas, and medical policies for Pure IV across all operating markets. All Nurse Practitioners providing live patient assessments operate under Dr. Lane's medical direction.

All bedside providers (Registered Nurses and paramedics) operate within their respective scope of practice as defined by the licensing boards in the states where they practice, and under the supervision structure established by Pure IV's medical direction.

Pure IV maintains active medical malpractice insurance and general liability insurance. All providers maintain individual professional liability insurance and hold active state licensure in the state(s) where they provide services.

Patient Privacy and HIPAA

Pure IV is committed to protecting the privacy and security of your personal health information in accordance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and applicable state privacy laws. Your health intake information, medical records, and treatment details are stored securely and are accessible only to authorized members of the Pure IV medical team who require access to provide your care.

State-Specific Regulations

Pure IV operates in multiple states, each of which has its own regulations governing the practice of IV therapy, scope of practice for nurses and Nurse Practitioners, physician supervision requirements, and consumer protection laws. Pure IV complies with all applicable state and federal regulations in every market where it operates.

The specific regulatory framework governing your treatment depends on the state in which your service is provided. Pure IV's medical direction, provider credentialing, and treatment protocols are structured to meet or exceed the requirements of each state's regulatory bodies.

If you have questions about the specific regulations that apply to your treatment, please contact Pure IV or consult with a healthcare regulatory attorney in your state.

Services for Minors

Pure IV provides IV therapy services to patients of all ages, including minors (patients under 18 years of age). All treatments for minors require the informed consent of a parent or legal guardian. A parent or legal guardian must be present for the duration of any treatment administered to a minor.

The Nurse Practitioner conducts an individual assessment of every minor patient, including weight-based dosing calculations and an evaluation of the child's medical history, current health status, and willingness to cooperate with treatment. Pure IV does not restrain children. If a minor is unable to cooperate with the IV placement or treatment process, the treatment may be modified, rescheduled, or declined.

Pure IV reserves the right to decline treatment for any minor patient if the medical team determines that the treatment is not in the best interest of the child.

Emergency Situations

Pure IV services are not a substitute for emergency medical care. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, including but not limited to chest pain, difficulty breathing, severe allergic reaction, stroke symptoms, uncontrolled bleeding, loss of consciousness, or any condition you believe requires immediate medical attention, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department immediately. Do not delay seeking emergency care to schedule or wait for a Pure IV appointment.

Pure IV providers are trained to recognize signs of medical emergencies. If your provider determines during your appointment that you require emergency medical care, they will advise you to call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department and may initiate emergency response protocols as appropriate. In such cases, you will not be charged for any Pure IV treatment that was not administered.
