Glutathione IV Push — The Master Antioxidant, Direct

Glutathione is the most powerful antioxidant your body produces. It’s in every cell, concentrated in your liver, and responsible for neutralizing free radicals, supporting detoxification, protecting your mitochondria, and maintaining the integrity of your other antioxidants (including vitamins C and E). When glutathione is depleted, everything downstream suffers. Problem: you can’t take glutathione orally. Your stomach acid destroys it before it reaches your bloodstream. An IV push delivers it directly — 100% absorption, immediate availability.

Standalone Glutathione Push:

Quick 10–15 minute IV push. Glutathione only.

Add-On to Any IV:  Add extra glutathione to any package for an additional dose on top of what’s already included.a

What Glutathione Does

Function How It Works
Detoxification Your liver uses glutathione to bind and neutralize toxins, heavy metals, medications, alcohol byproducts, and environmental pollutants. It’s the centerpiece of Phase II liver detoxification.
Antioxidant defense Neutralizes reactive oxygen species (free radicals) that damage DNA, proteins, and cell membranes. Also recycles other antioxidants (vitamins C and E) back into their active forms.
Immune support Required for lymphocyte proliferation and natural killer cell activity. Your immune cells need glutathione to function effectively.
Skin health Inhibits tyrosinase (melanin-producing enzyme), which can help even skin tone over time. Protects existing collagen from oxidative degradation.
Mitochondrial protection Shields mitochondria from the oxidative damage that mitochondrial energy production generates. Essential for sustained cellular energy.

Who Gets a Glutathione Push?

  • As an add-on to any IV. The most popular use. You’re already getting a Myers, Mega Myers, or Hydration IV and want extra antioxidant and detox support on top of what’s included.
  • After heavy drinking. Alcohol metabolism depletes glutathione severely. A glutathione push (standalone or added to a Hangover IV) helps your liver recover faster.
  • For skin health. Regular glutathione pushes support skin brightness and tone. Popular as a standalone maintenance treatment between Beauty IV sessions.
  • Environmental detox. After wildfire smoke exposure, heavy pollution days, or chemical/toxin exposure. Glutathione is your body’s primary detoxification molecule.
  • General wellness maintenance. Quick monthly glutathione pushes as standalone appointments for patients who don’t need a full IV every time.

FAQ's

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Can’t I just take glutathione pills?

No — and this is the single most important thing to understand about glutathione. Oral glutathione is destroyed by stomach acid and digestive enzymes before it reaches your bloodstream. Some companies sell liposomal glutathione which has modestly better absorption, but it still doesn’t approach IV concentrations. IV is the only clinically effective delivery method for therapeutic glutathione levels.

  • Is glutathione already in my IV package?

Yes — glutathione is included in the Myers Cocktail, Mega Myers, Megalodon, Platinum, High Rollers, Beauty IV, and several other packages. The standalone push or add-on is for patients who want EXTRA glutathione on top of what’s already in their package, or who want glutathione alone without a full IV.

  • How often should I get glutathione?

For maintenance, monthly pushes are common. For active detoxification or skin health goals, bi-weekly. Glutathione is used quickly by your body — it doesn’t accumulate, so regular replenishment produces the most consistent results.

  • Do you accept insurance?

IV therapy is not covered by insurance. We accept HSA/FSA cards, cash, and all major credit cards.
